Meredith Wingate

Principal, Wingate Strategies

Meredith Wingate is an energy and climate consultant with experience managing ambitious decarbonization initiatives delivered in partnership with national nonprofits, community groups, foundations, government and corporations. Currently the founder and Principal at Wingate Strategies, Meredith advises clients on designing and executing programs, strategies, and policies to advance renewable energy, decarbonize electric power sector, stop fossil fuel infrastructure expansion, and attract philanthropic funding and partnership. Prior to founding Wingate Strategies, Meredith managed three programs at the Energy Foundation over a span of fifteen years, focusing on electric utility regulation, wholesale market policies, and building decarbonization. Prior to the Energy Foundation, Meredith advocated for renewable energy policies in the U.S. and China and helped develop early REC tracking systems in the Midwest and West. Meredith has a Master of Environmental Management from Duke University and a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
