Jackie is the Climate and Energy Intern at NCEL. Jackie is from coastal Mississippi, but she has called New Orleans home for the past six years. She has a Bachelors in History and Political Science and a Masters in Environmental Law, both from Loyola University New Orleans. Jackie wrote her Masters Thesis on the environmental justice crisis caused by nuclear weapons testing in Nevada.  She has also worked in a variety of positions centered on housing justice, environmental advocacy, and voter rights. When she’s not working, she can be found singing karaoke, binging the Sopranos, bird watching in Audubon Park, or spending time with her cat Ladybug.
