Emily Odgers
Grid Specialist
Emily’s passion for environmental policy began at age 12 when she joined a local campaign to prevent a landfill expansion in her neighborhood. This early experience sparked a lifelong commitment to building a cleaner, more just, and more sustainable world. Most recently, Emily worked on grid policy and regulatory issues in Texas at Stoic Energy Consulting. Before her work in Texas, she served as a staffer in the Massachusetts state legislature, where she played a key role in successfully passing legislation to implement a statewide net-zero building code.
In addition to her professional work, Emily spent a year backpacking across Latin America, traveling to 11 countries, learning Spanish, and volunteering with various community initiatives. When she’s not working or traveling, Emily resides in Western Massachusetts where she enjoys hiking, reading, and spending time with her cat, Orsini.
Emily holds a bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Anthropology from Warren Wilson College, where she was also a Bonner Scholar and AmeriCorps member.
