Alissa Weinman

Alissa previously served as the Manager of Conservation Policy at the New England Aquarium in Boston. In her role, she worked closely with policymakers, coalition partners, and businesses to advance ocean conservation and justice initiatives. Prior to the Aquarium, Alissa served as the US Policy Director at the NGO Corporate Accountability, where she organized alongside community partners to secure utility shutoff moratoriums and increased federal investments in water infrastructure. 

Alissa received her undergraduate degree in Anthropology and Environmental Studies from the College of Wooster and is currently pursuing her masters in Public Affairs at Indiana University. Originally from Wheaton, Maryland, Alissa lived in Ohio, Miami, and Atlanta before eventually ending up in Boston. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time outdoors, paddleboarding, reading, trying new hobbies to see if they stick, and attempting to teach her dog Felix the same 5 tricks.
